FISH and chips are a much-loved staple of UK cuisine and Brits love nothing more than levelling up their scran.
Some use condiments such as curry sauce or tartar sauce.
However, one Reddit user has taken things to the next level and has gone viral for the "disgusting" way he eats his chippy tea.
Followers of the r/CasualUK subreddit slammed the man who shared a food hack on how to enjoy gravy and chips without "a spill risk".
To avoid any unnecessary mess, the man apparently uses Bisto gravy granules as "gravy salt" to season his chips.
The post sent the internet into meltdown with users reacting in horror at the unorthodox food hack.
One person wrote: "The whole point of gravy and chips is that it is liquid.
"This is absolutely not chips and gravy". Another added: "this is just wrong."
"Now pour boiling water over your chips and you’ll be sorted," someone else quipped.
A fifth Reddit user said: "Reminds me of a disgusting video I saw of someone making mash out of Pringles.
"The disgusting part was boiling the sausages in the same pan as the Pringle slop and then pouring it onto a plate."
