A MUM-OF-THREE whose smile was "butchered" by dentists on Harley Street had her "crumbling" teeth fixed in Turkey.

In a polar opposite "Turkey Teeth" horror story, 37-year-old Jade Simmons found herself flying away from London, into the Middle East.

Most do things the other way, falling victim to some of the foreign country's "bad dentists" looking to make a quick payday.

After spotting a Facebook advert for discounted work on London's Harley Street, she thought she'd landed the deal of the century.

Handing over £1,699 for a full set of veneers, a heavily discounted price, Jade raced in the capital to have the cosmetic work done.

But just days after surgery, her teeth began crumbling and falling out of her mouth, leaving her "severely depressed".

Speaking exclusively to SundayStar.co.uk, she explained: "I was scared to eat food.

"I was too embarrassed to leave the house, I even started to avoid my own family because I was scared they would judge me for how bad they’d got."

Jade has bipolar and says the entire ordeal "massively affected" her mental health and wellbeing.

"I wore a mask at work to keep my mouth covered at all times and I even avoided seeing my own mum," she told SundayStar.co.uk.

After getting nowhere with the dentist in question, Jade turned to her local – asking them exactly what had happened.

She was told she had "three fractured teeth" and that a nerve was "severely damaged and required an urgent root canal".

At the time, Jade was a single mum raising three young children and spent months saving up for the initial dental treatment.

She couldn't afford to pay again to have them fixed and had no other option than to leave them to deteriorate for three years.

Jade eventually told her story on TikTok after years of "pain and embarrassment" – and the video quickly went viral.

Your Smile Turkey heard her horror and agreed to fly her out for a life-changing treatment at a fraction of what the cost would be in England.

Reversing the damage done on Harley Street, YST charged just £4,100 for work which would cost over £22,000 in London.

"It’s honestly changed my life," Jade told SundayStar.co.uk.

"The clinic must think I'm not grateful because even now, a few weeks after the treatment I'm still having to train myself to smile again and remind myself that I no longer have horrendous teeth.

"I speak to people now and feel more confident, but it's a slow process.

"People used to think my teeth were bad from taking drugs and my own daughter said I looked like I'd been chewing rocks.

"It's a difficult thing to come to terms with but when I look at my smile in the mirror now, I’m forever grateful to the clinic for completely changing my life."
