A HOMELESS youngster was arrested and fined almost £200 after she was caught living inside her uninsured Nissan Micra.
The unlucky 20-something was caught by cops after using the humble motor to get about after she was left out on the streets.
Ella Justice was stopped by officers on the A20 near Maidstone where she was arrested for having no valid car insurance.
Appearing in court in Maidstone on June 6, the 23-year-old admitted the offence, but insisted she didn't realise she was uninsured.
Magistrates heard how Justice, now of The Weavers, Headcorn, was arrested after being caught on on Ashford Road at Bearsted last year.
She said: "I was homeless at the time and I had lost my job and I didn't have a phone to check and did not realise the payment had not come out.
"I was unaware and was living in the car at the time. It’s my mistake."
Revealing she has since turned her life around, Ella told the court: "I am now living with my grandparents and have a job now and will be earning £330 a week."
Magistrates fined Justice £80 for the offence and slapped her with six points, ordering she pay a victim surcharge of £112.
