TWO children were rushed to hospital via air ambulance after being injured in a horror funfair accident at the Hook Fair in Surrey.
Emergency services raced to the scene in Epsom earlier on Monday as police cordoned off the "Crazy Frog" attraction after the ordeal.
Eye-witnesses report seeing a child being "thrown" from the ride before being airlifted to hospital as a result of their injuries.
A police spokesperson told SundayStar.co.uk: "Just before 7.15pm, Surrey Police were called to a fairground at Hook Road Arena in Epsom.
"Following reports that a person had fallen from one of the rides.
"South East Coast Ambulance also attended, and a 16-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy were both taken to hospital for medical attention. Both have since been discharged with minor injuries.
"The ‘Crazy Frog’ ride remains closed at this time until safety checks have been completed. The funfair itself remains open.
"The Health & Safety Executive will be leading this investigation with the support of Surrey Police and our partners at Epsom & Ewell Borough Council.
"We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has video or photographic footage of what happened, to contact us quoting SYP-20230403-0637"
