FUMING parents slammed "overhyped" Labubu dolls after a girl was "given one by the tooth fairy".
Kids are often hooked to what's trending, but one schoolgirl's mum and dad have taken the tatty toy's popularity to a whole new level.
Pupils were left less than impressed after their classmate boasted about their new gift from the tooth fairy – and it wasn't a wad of cash.
"Now she's upset"
One of the girl's friends told her parents, and the miffed-off mum has taken to social media to vent about the awkward ordeal.
Writing in r/UKParenting on Reddit, user I_am_legend-ary penned: "Rant: apparently the tooth fairy brings Labubu now!!

"Apparently one of our daughter's friends was given a labubu by the tooth fairy…. Brilliant
"So yesterday her tooth fell out, and rather than her normal excitement this morning about the tooth fairy leaving her £1, she's now upset that she didn't get a f**king Labubu!!
"Parents, if you want to give your children overpriced, overhyped nonsense, go for it, but don't say it's from the tooth fairy, Easter bunny etc. Rant over."
What is a Labubu?
Labubu is a line of collectible plush toys created by Hong Kong illustrator Kasing Lung.
The series features zoomorphic elves with exaggerated facial expressions, of which the central figure is Labubu, a monster with sharp teeth, large ears and a scruffy appearance.

While Nikuhiru explained: "Labubus are ridiculous.
"My girls were desperate for one so I gave them a choice: we could either buy a knockoff or they'd have to use up their pocket money savings to pay for it and that would take a long, long time to rebuild given the price.
"Knockoffs (Lafufu is the term apparently?) were suddenly all OK."
Plastic tat made in sweatshops
User BeardedBaldMan wrote: "I do my own reverse marketing, calling stuff "plastic tat made by children in sweatshops that destroys our planet".
"It was working very well until I got some very shitty looks from a stallholder when my child loudly asked "Daddy, is that plastic rubbish made by Chinese children?"
"I doubled down and said "Yes it is""
