His heartbroken sister, Delina Teklay, 17, told BBC Scotland News: "Amen was not just my brother, he was my best friend."
Originally from Eritrea, Amen had lived in Glasgow for around eight years with his father and had recently been granted ‘right to remain’ status in the UK.
Police Scotland have called the killing an "isolated incident" but say they are keeping an open mind about possible motives.
