OUTSPOKEN journalist Piers Morgan could be the man to replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning in a major ITV "shakeup".
Experts predict the former Good Morning Britain will come back to ITV in a sensation return – but Piers says there's one catch.
Amid swirling rumours of Morgan's dramatic early-morning programme takeover, he took to Twitter to make his thoughts known.
"Thanks to everyone suggesting I might replace Philip Schofield at This Morning in a Lazarus-like comeback to ITV," he said.
"Unfortunately, there’s just one problem: I still don’t believe a single word Meghan Markle says!"
Throwing a spanner in the works, a leading brand and TV expert actually says that Morgan on This Morning would be "great PR".
"I feel like sometimes with brands in general, they get very comfortable and comfortable isn't always a good place to be," they told The Daily Star.
"You have to think about the future and you have to think about building longevity.
"Now, yes, it has been safe with Holly and Phil for a long time, but Piers could come on and take it to the next level.
"[Piers] brings excitement, it brings a little bit of fear, because [you never know] what's going to happen but then also it drives more conversation… the possibilities are endless.
"I do feel like with This Morning, it probably does need a shake-up and a little bit of a revamp."
