A SCIENTIST says she has been followed by ghouls since she was a baby, when her grandmother's ghost attended her christening.

Amber Doig-Thorne is known for her acting career, however, it's a little-known fact that she has a bachelor's degree in Theoretical Physics.

She has dozens of horror films under her belt, including Winnie the Pooh: Blood & Honey, but she is also a fully trained scientist.

Speaking of being a believer, Amber told SundayStar.co.uk: "As a scientist, many people consider it odd that I believe in ghosts.

"But there is a scientific principle that energy can't be created or destroyed; it just transfers from one form to another.

"So it makes sense to me that when someone passes away their life energy continues on, which I believe is in the form of a ghost."

Detailing her first spooky encounter, she said: "Both my grandmothers looked very similar.

"But I never knew my maternal grandmother; she died just weeks before my christening.

"On the day of my christening, my mum popped upstairs and briefly saw my grandmother, my dad's mum, standing by my cot, holding me.

"But when mum went downstairs, who did she see but my gran.

"Mum was utterly confused and asked how she had got downstairs so fast. But she said had never been upstairs.

"My family and I are convinced that the ghost of my maternal grandmother had been saying goodbye to me."

Amber reckons her life has been littered with ghost encounters, including in her new-build home and even on a film set.

She claims her "affinity with the supernatural" comes from her father, who has attended a spiritualist church and is a medium.
