THE family of a 20-year-old man who died after being found with suspected stab injuries in Newcastle-under-Lyme have paid tribute to him as detectives continue to investigate his death.
Jamie Evans, from Stone, was found injured on Orme Road shortly after 5pm on Friday, September 4. He was taken to hospital but sadly died from his injuries.

His family have now described him as a wonderful son, loving brother and doting uncle who brought happiness to those around him with his warmth, kindness and sense of humour.
Who was Jamie Evans?
Jamie was a 20-year-old man from Stone who was passionate about cricket and fitness.
His family said he enjoyed staying active, challenging himself and spending time doing the things he loved.
They said these passions reflected his determination, energy and zest for life.
In a tribute, Jamie's family said: "Jamie was so passionate about cricket and fitness, enjoying every opportunity to be active, challenge himself and spend time doing the things he loved. These passions reflected his determination, energy and zest for life."
What happened to Jamie Evans?
Police were called to Orme Road shortly after 5pm on Friday, September 4, by colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Jamie was found with injuries which were deemed consistent with a stab wound.
He was taken to hospital, where he sadly died.
Detectives have launched a murder investigation into his death.

Jamie's family have described the devastating impact of his death and said he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
They said: "Although his life was far too short, the love he gave, the laughter he shared and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew him."

The family also thanked members of the public who tried to help Jamie after he was found injured.

Have any arrests been made?
Three men have been arrested in connection with Jamie's death.
A 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, both from the Newcastle-under-Lyme area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
They remain in custody and will continue to be questioned after extra time was granted.
A 19-year-old man, also from the Newcastle-under-Lyme area, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
He remains in custody.
The arrests form part of the ongoing investigation and no charges have been confirmed.

Jamie's family continues to be supported by specially trained officers while detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
Police are continuing their enquiries following the fatal incident on Orme Road.
